Certified Woman-Owned Business: Madagascar Vanilla Farmer – Can You Find Another Like Videeko?

Videeko Vanilla ZP is dedicated to providing customers with the highest quality of certified organic vanilla beans and powder. It also promotes sustainable farming practices.
Madagascar Vanilla Beans and Powder by Women Owned Business
Videeko Vanilla ZP is a Madagascar vanilla company that is woman-owned.
It is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Moreover, Videeko is woman-owned, operated and controlled, from the vanilla vines in Mananara to the export documents.
Plenty of companies sell Madagascar vanilla.
Very few are owned and led by a Malagasy woman who grew up on a vanilla farm.
Fewer still grow, cure and export their own beans, and hold the certifications to prove how it is done.
That combination is what makes Videeko different. Moreover, Madagascar Vanilla Women Owned sets the benchmark, and we challenge anyone to find another company like us.
What WBENC certification means
WBENC is the largest third-party certifier of women-owned businesses in the United States. Its certification confirms that a company is at least 51% owned, controlled, operated and managed by one or more women.
Earning it is not a simple form. Businesses go through a detailed documentation review and a site visit. Our certification was processed and validated by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Florida, a WBENC Regional Partner Organization.
WBENC certification is widely accepted by Fortune 500 companies and many government agencies with supplier diversity programs. Certified businesses are also listed in WBENCLink2.0, the database corporate buyers use to find women-owned suppliers.
A woman-led business rooted in Mananara
Zebeline Ertance grew up in a small village surrounded by forest in Mananara, where there were few jobs and little access to healthcare. At 10 years old, working on her parents’ vanilla farm, she dreamed of building a business around Madagascar’s exceptional vanilla.
She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Madagascar, then moved to the United States to continue her university studies. In early 2019, after more than 20 years working with vanilla, she founded Videeko Vanilla ZP. Today Videeko grows, cures and exports premium organic vanilla from its own farms, family-owned farms and cooperative in Mananara, and employs 100+ families.
Many of those team members are women, including single mothers supporting their children. Videeko pays them fair, high wages, and women hold key roles across farming, curing, quality control and management.
“Most of my team are women, many raising children on their own. Being a certified woman-owned business means our customers know exactly who grows their vanilla and who benefits.” – Zebeline Ertance, Founder & CEO
Find another company like us. We challenge you.
Buyers sourcing Madagascar vanilla usually have to trade off quality, traceability, ethics and supplier diversity. With Videeko, you don’t have to choose.
One supplier. Every box checked:
- Certified woman-owned: a WBENC-certified Women’s Business Enterprise, owned and led by Malagasy founder Zebeline Ertance

- Direct from the farm, no middlemen: we grow, cure and export our own vanilla from our farms, family-owned farms and cooperative in Mananara

Check every box on that list and count how many vanilla suppliers are left. We believe the answer is one. If you find another certified woman-owned, Regenerative Organic Certified, direct-from-farm Madagascar vanilla exporter, we’d love to hear about it. Until then, see the proof on our Certificates page.
For food manufacturers, retailers and distributors with supplier diversity goals, Videeko also counts toward women-owned spend, with no compromise on quality.
